Noctua Teaching School Alliance

Following the recent announcement by the Secretary of State for Education, Noctua Teaching School has taken the decision to cancel or postpone all face-to-face events and training until Friday 26th June 2020 to ensure maximum staffing levels in schools during these unprecedented times. We are reviewing the national picture regularly, and will communicate with our alliance partners and participants as to any further information which is relevant as soon as we are able to. We will continue to upload updates, resources and information to our website.

Specialist Leaders of Education (SLEs)

Noctua can provide support for teachers, either through CPD sessions or a bespoke series of support sessions working with a Specialist Leader of Education (SLE) or other successful, effective teacher in a Noctua school.

SLEs are outstanding middle and senior leaders who are keen to share their skills, expertise and knowledge with colleagues or teams in other schools. They are outstanding practitioners who have the ability to improve outcomes for children across the primary age range. They contribute to school improvement and are committed to making a difference.

The great teachers in a Noctua school, whether SLEs or not, can help your school in lots of ways. They might work alongside individual practitioners, support school teams or take a strategic lead in a school in challenging circumstances. They may provide support to practitioners at the beginning of their career or they may work alongside more experienced middle or senior leaders.
